Adani Ports arranged lot of programs in Mundra to celebrate World Environment Day

Adani Ports and SEZ celebrated World Environment Day on June 5 Adani Ports And Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ), a part of India’s leading infrastructure conglomerate Adani Group and the country’s largest private multi-port operator, celebrated the World Environment Day on June 5 at Mundra, Gujarat, spreading message amongst the masses on the importance of keeping the environment clean and healthy.

At the local level, Adani Ports undertook several programmes such as tree plantation, street plays depicting importance of clean environment, painting competition for school children etc. Keeping with the United Nations theme on reducing wastage of food, Adani Ports arranged a programme in Mundra and 16 adjoining villages, where thousands of people participated to understand the importance of reducing the wastage of food. Noted social workers such as Ms. Devalben Gadhvi, Ms. Truptiben Thakkar, Ms. Jagrutiben and the staff of Adani Foundation provided guidance to the people and urged them to take oath on “to respect for food amongst family members, “eat healthy and vitamin-rich food”, and “reduce wastage of food”. A drawing competition to create awareness about the environment amongst the children was held at Shantivihar by Adanis where students from 103 schools of Mundra Taluka participated. On June 6, a day-long seminar on “green economy & industralisation in Kutch” was held in association with Adani Ports and Gujarat Pollution Control Board.
